Why Consider Aero Mechanical Conveyors

Aero mechanical conveyors are one of the most efficient methods of conveying materials for their dust-free and clean handling properties.  This type of conveyor is designed and custom-built for the product to be conveyed and ideal for a variety of applications in many industries.

How They Work:  Aero mechanical conveyors have a tubular design where a wire rope assembly with evenly spaced polyurethane discs move at high speed.  The rope assembly runs in specially designed sprockets at each end of the conveyor. The rope and disks travel in a continuous loop at high speed within parallel steel tubes.  There are enclosed housings at each end where the rope assembly runs from one tube to the other around the sprockets.  One of the sprockets drives the rope and disks while the other provides tension to the rope. The action of the rope assembly traveling at high speed creates an air stream running at the same velocity. As the material is fed into the air stream, it is fluidized and conveyed to the outlet where it is centrifugally ejected.

Benefits:  Aero mechanical conveying facilitates capacities up to 265,000 lb/hour with low energy requirements, minimal product degradation and virtually no separation of mixtures.

Sometimes referred to as ‘mechanical vacuum conveyors’ but unlike pneumatic or vacuum conveyors, aero mechanical conveyors do not require costly air filtration systems as there is no net change in the conveying air which tends to remain within the tube system.

Another significant feature of aero mechanical conveyors is their ability to convey materials at any angle from 0° to 90° without loss of capacity making the range of configurations almost limitless.  This enables the widest choice of system layout options using standard components to optimize available factory space.

Advantages of this type of conveyor also include:  total batch transfer, provides a dust-free sealed system for ultra fine powders, conveys a wide variety of materials ideal for powdered or granular food products or chemicals, has low power consumption, easy cleaning, multi-outlet distribution, conveying rates of up to 265,000 lb/hr and mobile options.
