Big-Bag-Konditionierer sind eine wichtige Ergänzung zum Entleerungsprozess von Big-Bags

Ein Spiroflow-Big-Bag-Conditioner

Bulk bag conditioners are a vital addition to the bulk bag discharging process, transforming the way companies manage and utilize bulk materials. These innovative systems address common issues with agglomerated or hardened contents, ensuring smooth operations. Our in-depth guide explores their significance, functionality, and synergistic integration with conveyor belt systems for optimal efficiency.

Bulk Bag Conditioners Are a Vital Addition to the Bulk Bag Discharging Process – Why?

Bulk bags (or FIBCs) have increased in popularity significantly over the past few decades due to the reduction in packaging and transportation costs. However, as more companies move and store materials in bulk bags, some struggle to discharge agglomerated or hardened solid material.

That’s why these conditioners sind unerlässlich für ensuring the efficient discharge of materials from bulk bags, especially when dealing with agglomerated or hardened contents. They mechanically break down solidified materials, facilitating smooth flow and preventing blockages. This not only enhances productivity but also reduces operational costs and improves safety in material handling processes.

A Big-Bag-Konditionierungssystem is an easy and effective way to break up solid ingredients, thereby increasing productivity. The system is also able to reduce operating costs and promote a safer working environment. With a relatively small equipment footprint, it can minimize the use of valuable floor space.

How Does a Bulk Bag Conditioning System Work?

Bulk bag conditioning systems are highly adaptable and can be tailored to suit specific operational needs. They are designed with either stationary or adjustable masts and can be seamlessly incorporated into an existing automated bulk bag discharge system or function as an independent, manually operated unit.

While the specifics can vary based on the application, these systems typically feature a metal frame with hydraulically powered conditioning arms on each side. Bags are positioned between these arms using a forklift, built-in hoist, motorized flexible screw conveyor, and other conveying options. The arms exert a compressive force, usually with 2-3 squeezes on alternating sides of the bag, to break apart the material inside, ensuring it flows freely during the discharging process.

Explore Types of Bulk Bag Conditioners

At Spiroflow, we manufacture three types of bulk bag conditions: fixed mast – manual operation, movable mast – manual operation, and moveable mast – automated. Each suits a variety of applications and material types. But is a fixed or movable mast best?

Fester Mast

Ideally suited to materials that require minor conditioning. The design requires an operator to use a forklift or hoist to move the full bulk bag between the polearms of the conditioner while conditioning. The raising and lowering of the bag between each actuation then breaks up the compacted material.

Beweglicher Mast

The best choice for stubborn material that requires a more intense conditioning process is a moveable mast. On it, the polearms move up and down, allowing conditioning at various locations along the sides and corners of the bulk bag.

As a result, a forklift, hoist, or pallet truck is not required during the conditioning process. The moveable mast bulk bag conditioner can be operated manually or as part of an automated operation. With an automated operation, the bulk bag is placed on motorized roller industrial conveyor systems, fed into the conditioner, and removed.

Check Out the Customizable Options With One of the Best Conveyor Systems Manufacturers

Most suppliers will offer a range of customizable options that are suitable for different applications and will influence the overall cost of the conditioning system. Here’s what we at Spiroflow offer:

  • Manual turntable – This feature allows for the rotation of a bulk bag on a pallet by 360°, enabling conditioning on all four sides of the bag.
  • Automatic turntable – This type of table facilitates the automatic rotation of the bag, ensuring it is conditioned evenly on every side.
  • Scissor lift – Compatible with a fixed mast bulk bag conditioner, this lift, which can be operated either manually or automatically, raises and lowers the bulk bag, allowing for conditioning at various heights.
  • Integration – This refers to the capability of integrating the bulk bag conditioner with the structural support of the bulk bag unloader or additional processing machinery.

Choosing the Right Bulk Bag Conditioning System – Key Considerations

When selecting a bulk bag conditioning system, look for high-quality electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components and ensure you select the right design system for your material conditioning requirements. If you are still unsure which would suit your product material best, choose a supplier who offers a test facility so you can assess exactly how a material behaves during conditioning. Selecting an experienced supplier is key, particularly in ensuring system longevity for the future.
