According to the judging panel, Spiroflow was selected for the award by being the most successful and sustainable Ribble Valley based medium to large business nominated this year. Presentations were made to winners at an awards ceremony dinner at Stirk House, Clitheroe.
The Ribble Valley Business Awards are held annually to celebrate the businesses and individuals “that make the Ribble Valley such a wonderful place to live, work and visit”. With over 3000 businesses in the Ribble Valley, and 40 companies shortlisted, the event is widely recognised as one of the UK’s most important regional awards.
In a busy night for Spiroflow, the firm also received a Highly Commended in the Made in the Ribble Valley category, as well as narrowly missing out on the top accolade of the Beacon Award with a mention as a ‘front runner’.
Commenting on their success, Spiroflow’s James Podevyn said: “We are delighted to win here at the Ribble Valley Awards – we are proud to manufacture in the UK and, more importantly, specifically in the Ribble Valley. Clearly winning the SHAPA’s Company of Year industry award earlier in the year was a high point for the business, but we place equal importance to local award recognition. For us this is all about a team effort and, as we clearly stated in our entry, our most valuable asset is our employees.”
