For the last 14 years Excelso Coffee & Tea, based in Norcross, Georgia, has been using a ‘Spiroflow’ Aero-Mechanical Conveyor in its flavoured coffee production operation without replacement of any parts. Excelso is a custom provider of coffee and condiments to offices, vending machine outlets and for private label sales. The Model PC3 Aero-Mechanical Conveyor (AMC) was manufactured and installed by us at Excelso’s production facility in 1994. We are delighted to have been entrusted to supply our highest accuracy ever ‘Spirofil’ Big Bag Filler to the world’s first industrial scale Nanotube manufacturing facility in Sambreville, Belgium. The customer, Nanocyl S.A., considered other suppliers too but Project Engineer, Michel Wattiaux, and Process Inventor, Christoph Bossout, were convinced by our guarantees of accuracy. A ‘Spiroflow’ Aero-Mechanical Conveyor was the conveyor of choice for The Orkney Herring Company Ltd when, back in June 2005, their Managing Director, Mr Ken Sutherland, came to choose a conveyor for the upgrade and expansion of their ingredients handling system. We supplied two Bulk Bag Dischargers, two Rigid Bin Dischargers, three Bulk Bag Fillers, a Fountain Blender and ten Flexible Screw Conveyors to Dekura when they (Dekura – formerly Polypro Ltd) increased the capacity of their PVC-U re-cycling facility in Telford, UK at the beginning of 2007. A ‘Spiroflow’ Aero-Mechanical Conveyor was the natural choice for Patak’s Foods Ltd when choosing a conveyor for the upgrade and expansion of their ingredients handling systems, at their Leigh, Lancashire, UK factory, early in 2008. In June 2007 UK based Innospec Ltd, a subsidiary of Innospec Inc, started operations on the first new-build plant on their Ellesmere Port site since 1996. Their ‘show-case’ plant, which manufactures products for personal care applications, includes a ‘Spiroflow’ Big Bag Discharger with integral Flexible Screw Conveyor as the means of charging the process reactor. The main ingredient of the product is delivered to site in big bags (FIBC’s). Back in 2004, Building Adhesives Ltd, manufacturers of ‘BAL’ and ‘Dunlop’ construction adhesives, chose 2 ‘Spiroflow’ Flexible Screw Conveyors as part of a new production line. This new line, which generally meets current production targets through single shift working, was designed and installed to replace 3 aging production lines that all had to work through a double shift to keep up with demand. Dublin, Ireland based Gem Pack Foods are well pleased with the performance of the ‘Spiroflow’ Big Bag (FIBC) Discharger supplied to them through our Irish representative Powder Process Systems. Their ‘Fawema’ packing machine has 2 feed points, one requires product be delivered at a metered feed rate and the other has it’s own auger to regulate the flow from a mass transfer system.
